Our Vision
Then the Lord replied: ‘Write down the vision and make it plain on tablets so that whoever reads it may run with it.’" - Habakkuk 2:2
General Vision
The name Beth Tikvah, House of Hope, alludes to our vision of being a community of Jewish and non-Jewish believers in the Lord Messiah Y’shua who, as we mature in our walk with the Lord, become catalysts for healing and strengthening in the body of Messiah while providing a safe place, founded in God’s unconditional love and uncompromised holiness, where people of all backgrounds can come as we “...preach good tidings to the meek... bind up the broken hearted ... proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound; - Isaiah 61:1.
With God’s help, we will do this while rejoicing in our heritage as Jews, both ethnic and spiritual (Romans 2:28-29, Romans 11) celebrating our Jewish heritage in lifestyle and worship as we reach out with love and without fear to the world with the truth that Y’shua is both the promised Messiah and God Himself, first to the Jew and then to the Gentile (Roman 1:16).
Specific Goals
The following are some specific goals which we believe the Lord has given us in accomplishing the above mentioned vision:
- Opening a Messianic Jewish/Christian coffee house and club where people can come to learn about Y’shua, receive informal fellowship, and grow in their faith
- Opening a Messianic Jewish school for grades K-12
- Creation of a lending library of Biblical Messianic Jewish books, CD’s, DVD’s which will encourage people in their faith
- Joining with other Bible-based Messianic Jewish and Christian congregations for joint out-reach to El Paso, Juarez, and Las Cruces to the Jew first, and also the Gentile
- Creation of a non-denominational prayer center, likely affiliated with the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, Kansas
- Conducting yearly trips to Eretz Yisrael (the land of Israel) to pray over the land and encourage Messianic believers there while enjoying the lands natural and historic beauty
- Bless and encourage Messianic communities in Eretz Yisrael and around the world by providing prayer and care packages to meet essential needs
- Provide teaching in local Christian congregations about the Biblical Jewish roots of our mutual faith
- Make special efforts to pattern out-reach efforts as Y’shua did in scripture, focusing on the down-trodden, wounded, and socially shunned persons of society
This vision will be fulfilled by the strength of God alone working through the willing hearts of those who follow it, one day at a time.
